What is a Chiropody?
Chiropody services involve comprehensive treatment of the foot and ankle. A chiropodist is a regulated foot specialist. Chiropodists focus mainly on conservative, non-surgical treatment methods such as gentle foot care, offloading areas of high pressure with orthotics, orthopedic shoes, or padding, and pain management techniques such as cold laser therapy and foot mobilization therapy. If necessary, chiropodists may also perform injections and surgery for ingrown toenails or plantar warts.
- Toenail Problems – Diabetic foot care, ingrown toenails, fungal nails, hard to cut toenails
- Skin Problems – Calluses, corns, plantar warts, Athlete’s foot
- Foot Pain – Bunions, hammer toes, heel pain, arch pain, ball of foot pain, ankle pain
- Children’s Feet – Intoeing, tippy toe walking
